Ballad of Encanvasing

A hymn sung by the imagenae to praise the Mother of Imagenesis. It celebrates the great feat of painting the mortal world into being, and the beauty of the World in Canvas.

In ages past, a divine maiden walked the desolate wilds
She traced the flame, she shaped the light, and from them wrought living souls
Yet the calamitous fire burned unceasing, and nothing endured for long
Thus she took the sea as canvas, and painted forth myriad worlds
Where mountains and seas knew no bounds, where heaven and earth were one
With laughter set as ornament, she stilled all weeping
The Phantasmoon shall not fall, and Dovebrook shall not fade
No fiend drew near, and peace held for a hundred generations

All within the Canvas are granted joy and delight
Sun and moon shine as one, and no tear is ever shed
Moonlulls wave a gentle dance, Lightpaws drift to a peaceful sleep
Thundercoils roam the heavens, and all wondrous beings raise their voices to sing
The young know no illness, the old know no weariness
Five generations united together, their joy in perfect harmony
And still the painters shape new buds of life
Food without end, homes without bound

All within the Canvas behold the full moon's grace
Those who supplicate smile, those who witness rejoice
Time is stirred and set awry, the veils of cloud are stolen away
New imagenae are created, and roam in delight among the mortal world
At ease, at ease, with new wonders unending
In rapture, in rapture, blessed by Aha
Where lies the arcadia? Where does Elation dwell?
Here stands the arcadia! Here abides Elation!
