+For most creatures of flesh and blood in the cosmos, longevity often is an indicator of something else — cancer. It describes cells proliferating beyond their designated lifespan and order, becoming immortal, and eating away at the host's body until both perish.
+In fact, after tense of thousands of years of competition as well as trial and error, some cancerous cells have mutated to be capable of living independently of a host, and can even corrode other creatures with the longevity. Year 7142 of the Star Calendar saw a serious plague erupting on the planet of Yaguoret, which was under the Intelligentsia Guild's rule. It was later discovered that the vector was a type of cancer cell originating from a creature of the Anthozoa subphylum, and had gained the capacity to cross the species barrier due to a chance mutation.
