Mydei: Crown that Conquers Fate

The information here comes from a post made by the official account on Hoyolab on 19 March 2025.

The undying Mydeimos, the solitary lion.
“At first, my life was nothing but fighting and slaughtering monsters in the Abyss, from dawn to dusk, over and over again.”
“No matter where I am, until I shed my last drop of blood, I will never again let my people make meaningless sacrifices.”

Chrysos Heir Interview Relay Continues

Message from Vol. 02 Character Tribbie

Tribbie: They say even tough guys have a soft side! Just like a chimera would slack off. I wonder what made you cry the last time~
Mydei: … It's been a long time. I made a promise: the King of Kremnos shall not shed tears.

Mydei: Crown That Conquers Fate

The immortal Mydeimos, a lone lion.
When the Titan of Strife succumbed to madness, chaos and war invaded his homeland. As the crown prince of Kremnos, this unyielding warrior had no choice but to shoulder the burden of madness alone, leading his remaining people away from their ancestral lands… Now, he awaits our arrival at the gates of Okhema.
“I am Mydeimos, the crown prince of Kremnos, and also Mydei, the warrior of Okhema. If you want to know me better, observe me in battle or fight me yourself.”

Q1: As the crown prince of Kremnos, Lord Mydei, could you tell us about your past life experiences?
The former king of Kremnos once used a prophecy as an excuse to cast me into the Sea of Souls as a sacrifice to the Titan. In my earliest memories, life was nothing but fighting and slaughtering monsters in the Abyss, from dawn to nightfall, over and over again. The rare moments of hope came when the tide receded, leaving shellfish and shrimp within easy reach — though their taste was questionable, they kept the hunger at bay.

After leaving the Sea of Souls, I once believed that place of hardship wasn't worth remembering. But now I see that even in the darkest times, life always finds a way to thrive.

Q2: How did it feel when you returned home from the Sea of Souls?
The familiar taste of rust in the wind remains unchanged. The Kremnoan people have a tradition they pride themselves on: during the Kremnos Festival, regardless of birth, the victor earns the right to challenge the king. The glory of dying in combat proves both unwavering loyalty and bravery, yet conceals blind ambition and malice. The previous king used this rule to kill my grandfather, but he too couldn't escape the same fate… Heh, strife truly is an endless dead end.

Q3: I heard that Lord Mydei led his people through several battles through strife. What was the situation like back then?
During our migration days, we celebrated victories multiple times and held modest feasts. Pomegranate honey brew, fire-grilled ribs, cheese bread… The familiar tastes of home and the time spent cooking helped wash away both physical and mental fatigue, allowing us to throw ourselves fully into the next battle. But in these times swept by the Black Tide, most battles came with blood and sacrifice. Ladon, Aidonia, Aenionus… my comrades fell one after another, dying far from home.

Even with the fall of the Titan of Strife, the conflict between humans and gods is far from over.

Q4: The Flame-Chase Journey not only brought heroes together but also connected Kremnos with Okhema. How does Lord Mydei view Okhema?
Once our enemy state, now the only haven in these end times. Its prosperity and might are undeniable, yet it cannot become everyone's sanctuary. The barriers between people — hatred, obsession… the scars left by war cannot be easily erased. But no matter where I am, until I shed my last drop of blood, I will never again let my people make meaningless sacrifices.

Reasons for Recommendation
If you think Kremnos is synonymous with savagery and madness, then take a look at Mydeimos!
He is a valiant warrior who has led the Kremnoan detachment in multiple battles defending the holy city, protecting Okhema with flesh and blood. He is both the crown prince of Kremnos and a warrior of Okhema, a role model for children, the inspiration for many theatrical characters, and a sought-after business partner for merchants. It's time to cast aside these outdated prejudices and break down the barriers between city-states! Just like Mydeimos did!

Public Opinion

Anonymous: Of course I support him! Mydei has infinite strength — he can eat 500 catties in one meal! He… he even dares to fight with dromas over food!
Ctesiphona: The tales of Lord Mydei and the Chrysos Heirs were the spark that ignited my creation!
Anonymous: Rejected! As a Mountain Dweller, I will never accept a Kremnoan!
Verax Leo: Roar roar roar! You've come to the right lion for that question! Let me tell you some stories about Lord Mydei when he was young! Would you like to hear “A Thousand Miles of Roaring Tides in the Seal of Souls, Young Lion's Strike Vanquishes the Sea Beast” or “Lone Warrior with Youthful Ambition, Night Raid Against the Mad King's Close Call”?
Hyacine: When we have kids who are afraid of getting an injection, I just them “Lord Mydei never cries out in pain no matter how serious his injuries are,” and they become so cooperative with their treatment~

Callictis: The valiant King of Kremnos, now this is the hero that Amphoreus truly needs! Aglaea should be ashamed of herself!
Krateros: Young master's excellence needs to empty title, but if we were to find someone worthy of this title in today's Amphoreus, it could be none other than our young master.
Chartonus: A young king, a different kind of Kremnoan. Good, he has my support.
Anonymous: Made… Moss? Who's that?

Candidate's Speech
I'm not that amazing, don't put me on a pedestal.
But I won't betray their trust if the people of Kremnos need this honor.

Golden Honeycake

In the name of “Gold,” from aristocracy to the masses.
Golden Honeycake — The Royal Choice

The “My” in Mydei Means Ten Thousand People Someone once asked the dessert shop owner how much they paid to get the renowned crown prince of Kremnos to — “That's not true at all! The crown prince agreed right after tasting it. His exact words were: 'Not all traditions are worth preserving, but some things shouldn't be buried or kept to oneself.'” However, with the honeycake becoming a massive hit, a wave of unauthorized fake advertisements appeared without Mydei's approval. Our editor has compiled a comprehensive roundup for all you Okhema consumers out there.

FAKE: Even Mydeimos uses it! Miraculous redsoil powder — grow taller and stronger to be on par with a dromas!

Anaxa: So bitter. Nope.
Mydei: A bitter taste. I don't need this. Training relies on sheer tenacity.

FAKE: Krembo Pomegranate Juice — Mydei's childhood favourite

Mydei: Krembo… Is that some kind of chocolate snack?
Tribbie: This brand's history isn't even as old as De!

FAKE: Golden Combat Technique, just 9,998! Special guest instructor Mydei dropping in!

Phainon: Just go find him on the Marmoreal Market rooftop and ask him yourself — it's free!
Mydei: There's no such fighting technique.

FAKE: The Grand Chrysos is rumored to start filming, planning to invite Mydeimos to play himself.

Mydei: Never heard of it.
Aglaea: Oh, so it was a fake after all. What a pity.
Castorice: There are… no plans to dramatize this book for now…
